CMA - $18 - $22
LPN - $23 - $31
RN - $29 - $40
Pay scale will vary depending on level of education and experience.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures by explaining processes and answering questions
- Monitor and document patient vital signs
- Administer medications as directed by the physician
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the operating room
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements, including but not limited to
- A graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa (or) a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse able to work in the state of Iowa.
- Previous experience in a surgical or clinical setting preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminologies and surgical procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and prioritize your work.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to effectively calm patients and be able to deal with distressed and/or agitated patients and their families.
- Must adhere to all training requirements as mandated by Federal, State, and Professional licensure and regulatory standards.
