Job Summary
Mahle Engine Components USA, Inc. is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality standards, lead supplier quality assurance programs, train team members, and manage customer and supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Quality Standards: Create and initiate standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation of components.
- Lead Supplier Quality Assurance Programs: Direct the activities of the supplier quality assurance program within the plant, including component part approval, supplier audits, and quality improvements.
- Develop Training Material and Conduct Sessions: Develop training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities for supplier quality personnel.
- Lead Advance Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP): Lead the APQP process for component suppliers, including vendor selection for packaging, and lead PPAP for component suppliers, ensuring supplied parts meet all requirements.
- Manage Customer and Supplier Relationships: Manage customer/supplier needs/expectations and build a healthy working relationship.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 3 years of experience as Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Professional experience in Automotive or Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
- Strong Quality Systems knowledge (IATF 16949).
