A private family with a large, unique, remote property on the northwest side of Moosehead Lake in North Central Maine (45 minutes from Greenville) is seeking an Estate/Property Caretaker Couple to maintain the natural beauty of the property and the residence and provide a year-round security presence. The principal and guests visit the property occasionally in the fall and winter.
The property includes the following:
- Significant wildland acreage
- Custom built 7,500 square foot main residence with a 3-bedroom guest residence.
- Two-bedroom residence on the Island Camp
- Three-bedroom, 2,000 square foot log home for the Property Couple to live in.
- Shooting range
- Fifteen miles of trails
- Storage buildings
- Private runway
- Several boats ranging from a pontoon to a 38-foot Center Console
- Small marina, a main dock, and two floating docks
The ideal candidates will embrace the rural and isolated nature of the property, have experience with and understand sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems, and possess excellent project and time management skills.
Primary responsibilities will include year-round care of the property, grounds, equipment, and structures, overseeing and assisting the existing long-term property team (one FT housekeeper and three FT grounds crew), managing the seasonal maintenance tasks, overseeing, and scheduling property vendors and contractors, provisioning the homes, performing basic bookkeeping, light housekeeping, hospitality services, and accompanying the principal and guests to property events.
The ideal candidates will embrace a variety of work responsibilities, be experienced with and understand sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems, have successfully managed a private service team, have long-term intent, and are knowledgeable in maintaining firearms for the shooting range.
This is a live-on property opportunity. A beautiful three-bedroom log home is provided with all the amenities. Pets welcome! Flexible summer or early fall start date. Relocation assistance available.
Schedule:
Generally, a Monday through Friday schedule, business hours, with flexibility required for additional hours when the principals are in residence.
Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience, $190,000-$210,000. On-site housing provided. Healthcare stipend and PTO.
