What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Manager position at Mahoney | CPAs and Advisors?

Our Assurance Solutions Team guides clients to manage compliance and avoided surprises by providing specific improvements. We perform a variety of specialized audits that include HUD Audits, Employee Benefit Plans, and Single Audits.
As an Associate Manager with the Mahoney Assurance Solutions Team, you will assume a pivotal role in providing a variety of accounting functions for clients, including:
- Leverage strong and organized project management skills to plan, manage, review, and complete engagements
- Supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to staff
- Develop new client contacts and cultivate relationships that are essential for the firm's growth and success
- Assist in preparation of proposals for new and existing clients while recognizing opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
- Create and deliver presentations at client and firm meetings
- Consistently provide effective communication across all organizational levels internally and with various clients
- Participate in professional, civic, or community activities
Our preferred candidates will have:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license and 4 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience in Real Estate and/or Non-Profit organizations
- Prior experience with CCH software products (Axcess Tax, Engagement, Document) is a plus
We offer a competitive base pay range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year. During busy season, most accountants work 55-hour weeks.
