Substitute Clinic Nurse Job Description Position
Type: Substitute Clinic Nurse
Location: Mahoning County Career & Technical Center High School 7300 N. Palmyra Rd, Canfield, Ohio 44406
Date Available: ASAP
Required:
Active RN or LPN(Meds) State Board of Ohio Nursing License Preferred:
1. Experience with diabetics
2. Clinical experience especially with pediatric population
3. Ambulatory or emergency nursing / first aid experience
Summary: MCCTC is looking for a substitute Clinic Nurse to work on an as needed basis (per diem).
Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Provides illness, injury assessments, interventions and follow-up.
2. Provides identification, assessment, planning, interviewing and evaluation of student health concerns.
3. Assists with and/or administers prescription medications as ordered by physicians to students.
4. Assists with and/or administers OTC medications to students that parent(s)/legal guardian has given written permission to do so.
5. Communicate with parents regarding injuries, illnesses, other visits to the nurse as needed.
6. Considerable knowledge of medical disorders, treatments, and child growth and development.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
