What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing and Promotions Assistant position at Mahoning Valley Scrappers?
Marketing & Promotions Assistant
Full Time Seasonal (May 1-Sept 5 est.)
Assist with promotional schedule ideas and theme nights- Assist with community initiative programs (ie. specialty jersey themed nights, youth camps, field of dreams bookings, Sensory Suite bookings) to increase group/ticket revenue & promotional elements
- Executing other non-baseball event marketing/promotions & day of events (ie. Wrestling Under the Stars, Food Festivals, Concerts, etc.)
- Enhance the game day experience & promotions
- Coordination of game day experiences (ie. Field of dreams, first pitches, sponsor activities, ceremonies, contests, etc.)
- Assist with community appearances and street team deliveries
- Assisting with media relations responsibilities
- Assisting with social media platforms & additional marketing initiatives
- Assist with jersey nights with development, auction campaigns and promotion (in person and online)
- Oversee the kids club: experiences, marketing and growing membership
- Assist with managing game day employees in department
- Assist with youth programs (one day clinics, youth camp, reading club, etc.)
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Oversee photgraphers and organize all game day and event photos into a filing system
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 1 season working in sports, preferably baseball.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva is a plus
- Effective customer service skills
