MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting an Aging Assistance Coordinator. We are seeking a passionate individual with excellent interpersonal skills to help us strengthen our communities by partnering with local resources to provide services to seniors living in our service area. Work with local vendors and volunteers to provide chore service, homemaking service, and other services as appropriate to seniors. Coordinates the Nutrition Assistance Program for seniors. Partner with human services, tribal services, community health, area churches, other organizations to provide services.
- Pay: $23.21 - $23.96
- Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday
- Remote Work: Partially remote, frequent travel within service area
- Location(s): Detroit Lakes, MN preferred

Requirements:Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Associates Degree in Gerontology, Social Services, Medical Billing and Coding, or Business Management related field plus one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of program management including negotiations with vendors, recordkeeping and reporting. Knowledge of resources/services available to elderly. Knowledge of home repair and maintenance services.
- Must maintain confidentiality of client information and work materials.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action as well as apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
- Strong communication skills, verbally and written. Ability to express/exchange ideas and instructions to clients, the public or other employees.
- Ability and desire and compassion to work with people in challenging situations.
- Must work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Effectively work with a variety of agency partners.
- Strong computer skills required including email, spreadsheets, and database programs. Accuracy in data entry, preparing reports, compiling and maintaining records and files.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, good driving record.
Salary : $23 - $24
