Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Global HR & Talent Management to lead and optimize HR functions for a fast-growing eCommerce organization. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can oversee global recruitment, employee engagement, policy implementation, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a polished professional who thrives in a structured environment, understands large team dynamics, and is adept at balancing company goals with employee needs.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster a positive work culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring HR operations support company growth and employee well-being.
- Create and enforce policies that comply with local and federal laws while maintaining company values.
Talent Acquisition & Performance Management
- Work with in-house and external recruiters to hire top talent across global and remote teams.
- Approve job offers and oversee onboarding, ensuring seamless integration into the company.
- Implement and track 90-day goal check-ins for accountability, ensuring teams and new hires meet expectations.
- Conduct and oversee quarterly and annual performance reviews, ensuring timely and actionable feedback.
Employee Engagement & Workplace Culture
- Plan and execute global team events to enhance engagement and foster collaboration.
- Organize initiatives like monthly team lunches, wellness programs, and appreciation efforts to create a positive work environment.
- Act as the voice for employees, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed effectively.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain and update company policies and employee handbooks annually.
- Oversee benefits administration, including 401(k) processing, medical insurance, and PTO tracking.
- Manage payroll logistics, including salary updates, time tracking, and tax compliance for new states.
- Handle employee relations, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
Workplace & Office Management
- Ensure the office is well-stocked and maintained, working with vendors for supplies and cleaning services.
- Coordinate with landlords for facility-related matters.
- Oversee the organization and cleanliness of shared spaces, ensuring a professional environment.
Must-Haves
- 7 years of HR leadership experience in a fast-paced, large-scale organization.
- Experience managing global and remote teams.
- Strong talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management skills.
- Expertise in HR policy development and compliance.
- Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and analytics tools.
- Ability to implement team accountability measures, including 90-day check-ins.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a structured and proactive approach.
- Experience in E-Commerce preferred.
