GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager / Scrum Master will use their strong project management skills, along with Agile principles and methodologies to successfully provide effective solutions across the firm. In this role, the individual will work with cross-functional teams and serve as a liaison to business and technical stakeholders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze project management and task order management needs and tailor industry best practices to suit the environment; apply a wide range of traditional and agile principles to provide responsive and effective project management solutions
- Work with stakeholders to define clear project objectives and requirements, agree on priorities, communicate progress updates and demonstrations, and provide responsive change management in frequent planning / re-planning meetings
- Document requirements in business cases, project charters, and project plans; update these documents to record progress and changes
- Work with cross-functional teams with diverse technical skillsets to support successful project completion; adjust project plans based on realities of team velocity and dynamic business / user needs
- Track progress and report on status and metrics at the task / work package and project level
- Support the continued development of a project management dashboard for providing timely progress information to project teams.
- Serves as liaison to business and technical stakeholders to ensure success of the project
- Prepare system-level communications that maintain high standards for quality, consistency, and suitability for intended audiences.
- Champion Agile methodologies throughout the development process. Act as scrum master to 2-3 teams. Ensure appropriate ceremonies occur with valuable outcomes. Drive continuous team improvement.
- Proactively remove impediments to ensure successful delivery of team commitments. Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation.
- Understand process flows and be able to convert them into formal procedural documents
- Work with internal departments to obtain an in-depth understanding of the process workflow and the documentation requirements
- Write easy-to-understand user online help and user guides and conceptualizing innovative approaches for documenting
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Explain concepts and processes simply and concisely to help internal and external users understand the technology
- Work across various teams to generate effective materials for the required audiences
