What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Quality Assurance Technician position at Maid-Rite Specialty Foods, Inc.?

This position is a hands-on position and has responsibility for assisting the Quality Assurance Supervisor in providing safe, high quality products that meet customer expectations. Ensures high quality products that meet customer expectations while maintaining compliance with USDA/other applicable regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. For this position experience is preferred, but not necessary. We are willing to train if interested.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring that all QA and Regulatory programs are followed.
- Work with rapid microbiological testing, limited analytical testing, air sampling and pathogen testing.
- Knowledge of various pathogens and microbes associated with food production.
- Hands on experience conducting microbiological testing.( ie - APC, coliform, generic E. coli)
- Executes quality objectives such as adhering to all company policies and programs associated with Foods Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Works with QA staff members to prevent process or product failures.
- Focuses on continuous improvement of product quality through the development of quality plans, process controls, and attention to process details and specifications and quality training.
- Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to uphold regulatory, company and customer standards.
- May be required to work weekends.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

- Office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
