Maid Rite Specialty Foods is recruiting for a Business Development Manager in the Midwestern region.
The position involves the management of our foodservice segment as it relates to the Business Development Manager’s geographic and other mutually agreed upon responsibilities. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all relationships involved in foodservice sales including, but not limited to, the geographic Broker Network, Distributors, Healthcare and School Programs, Purchasing Organizations, Contract Management Companies, and Restaurants.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Broker Account Assignments and sales strategies for the territory.
- Personally schedule sales presentations to brokers, distributors, healthcare and school programs, purchasing organizations, contract management companies and Restaurants where Maid-Rite may benefit from increased sales volume or strategic alignment.
- Train the Broker Sales Team and Distributor Sales Representatives.
- Work directly with Brokers and Distributor Sales Representatives to facilitate their efforts to complete sales when calling on their assigned accounts.
- Prepare and communicate competitive pricing strategies and competitive product features and benefits to maintain account parity and facilitate increased sales.
- Provide product feedback to ensure product performance that meets or exceeds customer expectations including, but not limited to, product innovation to direct Maid-Rite to create products to fill a void or fulfill an application in the foodservice segment.
- Plan and lead the Sales and Marketing efforts and determine objectives for each market; including, but not limited to: pre-show planning for product focus; POS; Samples; Key Account Contacts; social functions; Broker training and Product or Company focused education seminars.
- Pan and organize participation in select mutually agreed upon industry functions.
- Monitor and communicate Draw Down levels in K-12 to the Broker network to insure the commodity allocation is depleted. Facilitate Broker sales efforts of the commercial equivalent products
- Efficiently and effectively utilize all of the resources of Maid-Rite to increase sales and our presence in the foodservice industry.

Experience:
- Sales Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
- Business Development: 5 years (Preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining a sales contact management database.
- Ability to establish a positive working relationship with senior management, broker, distributor and administrative personnel.
- Exceptional organizational, planning and time management skills to result in overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communicative negotiating and selling skills.
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, Word Documents and Outlook e-mail.
