A dynamic and loving family in Scarsdale, NY, is seeking an energetic and responsible Nanny to care for their active 2-year-old twins. The role involves caring for the children, engaging them in fun, educational activities, and providing assistance with housekeeping and simple cooking duties when the children are in their program or napping. The right candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic, and enjoy keeping up with two busy toddlers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare:
- Supervise, care for, and play with 2-year-old twins, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage the twins in active, age-appropriate play (e.g., games, puzzles, outdoor activities) to encourage their development.
- Feed the twins meals and snacks, assist with potty training, and provide regular nap time supervision.
- .Provide companionship, emotional support, and help develop routines for the children.
- Assist with housekeeping duties during the twins' nap time or while they are in their program (e.g., tidying up play areas, washing dishes, laundry, and organizing toys/clothes).
- Assist with meal prep for dinner
- Ensure the home is neat and organized, with a focus on areas the twins frequent (e.g., living room, playroom, dining area).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for toddlers or young children.
- Energetic, playful, and creative with an ability to engage active toddlers.
- Comfortable handling light housekeeping tasks (deep cleaning is managed by a service once per week).
- Driver with a valid driver’s license preferred but not required
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Non-smoker.
