We cater to homeowners and landscapers on the island and in the surrounding areas. We strive to supply the highest quality landscaping supplies with outstanding customer service. Our goal is to be Whidbey Island's destination nursery!
We are looking for an upbeat individual to help in all areas of the nursery! This person will be asked to maintain plants, work with customers to select the best plants for their specific needs, and price and merchandise new shipments. This person will also be helpful to the thousands of customers who visit our nursery every year! Greeting customers, answering questions, and helping them load supplies, all with a great attitude.
Duties
- General plant/nursery care. (watering, weeding, fertilizing, repotting, etc.)
- Unloading new plant arrivals, pricing, and merchandising.
- Assisting our customers in any way they need help (answering questions, help with loading.)
Qualifications
- 18 years or older with a valid driver's license
- Experience working with and identifying plants
- Must have a friendly and positive attitude with great customer service
- A longing to work outdoors in the elements
- Ability to lift 50 lb. on a regular basis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work weekends if needed
- Work well in a team environment
Start Time / Salary / Schedule
Employment starts in February. Starting pay is $18.00 - $20.00 an hour DOE with a job review after 60 days.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week (TBD)
Schedule: TBD but will most likely be Monday - Friday with some weekends needed.
