What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Property Manager position at Main Street Realty, Inc.?
An independent property management firm has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused individual in the Richmond area.The ideal candidate would be flexible, knowledgeable and self motivated.
Primary Responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
- Maintain occupancy while providing superior customer service to current tenants and prospective tenants.
- Ability to lease to prospective tenants – there is no Leasing support staff.
- Manage and oversee daily operations, maintenance, and all staff members.
- Property marketing activities and resident events.
- Collect and process rent payments and process invoices.
- Prepare and send notice of returned checks, late rent reminders, and other correspondence as necessary.
- Assist with legal proceedings as necessary.
- Formulation and submission of budgets for each upcoming calendar year.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for properties.
- Resolve resident complaints, answer resident questions, and monitor the resolution of resident concerns.
- Perform other duties as necessary to meet the needs of residents and the property.
Position Requirements:
- Ideal candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a property manager in the multifamily housing industry.
- Ability to take on a fast-paced work environment, multi-task, and handle interruptions while remaining focused on deadline-based tasks. Attention to detail and organization are fundamental to performing this role.
- Candidates must have strong communication skills, both written and oral, and possess a can-do work ethic. Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and exhibit leadership skills. Customer service skills and computer proficiency are required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
- At least 3 years in Manager role preferred
