Job Summary:
The Commercial Loan Administrator is responsible for providing administrative assistance to Commercial Banking Officers, including preparation of loan documentation, processing closed loan packages, and providing customer service and support.
Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative assistance to Commercial Banking Officers, getting loan packages ready for closing by preparing loan documents. Ensures that all required items per the approval are obtained, reviewed, and accepted, and ensures the loan documents comply with the approval prior to closing.
- Prepares allonges for Line of Credit renewals and loan modifications and ensures that all required items per the approval are obtained, reviewed, and accepted and ensures the allonge documents comply with the approval prior to closing.
- Receives completed loan applications and creates a working file. Also receives working files with a commitment letter and credit memorandum as applicable.
- Receives and processes leasing requests utilizing the leasing checklist.
- Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation. Consults with other CLA’s or seeks legal advice on complex documentation. Interacts with attorneys on attorney-prepared closings.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures such as UCC searches, flood certifications, merchant’s reports, title updates, EDR’s and good standing certificates.
- Responsible for post-closing item tracking, filing and uploading pertinent documents to the customer’s e-file.
- Process Line of Credit advances, transfers, construction disbursements, wires, and equipment revolver advances.
- Process payoff quotes, payoff checks, paid loan files and preparing discharges and/or terminations.
- Completes credit references and account verifications.
- Handles customer problems and complaints. Advises customers with special needs or requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Required:
- High school diploma and 1 year of prior experience in banking or a similar work environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to comply with all Bank policies and procedures, including BSA and Information Security policies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect the Bank by keeping information concerning Bank operations and customer information confidential.
- Excellent organizational skills and a highly developed ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Excellent internal and external customer focus.

- Prolonged periods of working at a desk on a computer
- Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable.
- Periodic travel within the Bank’s geographic footprint.
