Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to the dentist and ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for patients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, technical expertise, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and restorative treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Take and process dental X-rays while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and recording treatment notes
- Ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients.
Qualifications:
- CDA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Radiology certification and proficiency in taking X-rays.
- Familiarity with dental software for charting and scheduling.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR certification (preferred).
