Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician - Academy Infrastructure is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of MAINE MARITIME ACADEMY's facilities. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and scheduled maintenance tasks, including cleaning buildings and grounds.
- Operate a range of building maintenance and lawn equipment, such as floor scrubbers and power mowers.
- Make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs to equipment as needed.
- Assist with special projects and events.
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors and follow up to ensure resolution.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; custodial or related work experience preferred.
- Valid Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
