Unit Specific Information
Number of Beds : 43
Patient Ratios : Day Shift Med / Surg 1 : 4-5, Night Shift Med / surg 1 : 5-6, Day and Night IMC 3 : 1
Equipment : Specific to our IMC patients : Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP. Both IMC and Med Tele equipment : CPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non – Rebreather, Epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care / maintenance
EMR : Epic
Type of Patients on Unit : Respiratory, Medical Telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, Altered Mental Status, Failure to Thrive, Respiratory Failure, and most any acute on chronic medical condition.
Personality Fit : teamwork, flexibility, good communication, patient centered care
