Job Responsibilities
The Executive Director will be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve museum goals and objectives.
- Fundraising and Development: Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, major gifts, membership, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.
- Marketing and Communications: Oversee marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring a strong public presence for the museum.
- Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with schools, businesses, community organizations, and local governments to enhance public engagement.
- Staff Management: Supervise and lead a team of full and part-time employees, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in museum studies, geology, or a related field.
- Managerial and leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
