What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Entry Level Carpenter - Ellsworth position at Maine Staffing Group?
Experienced Entry Level Carpenter Wanted: Build it Right, Build it Strong (And Have Some Fun Along the Way)
Are you a jack-of-all-trades with a passion for construction Do you have the skill to frame a house, install windows, and even handle a little paint and drywall along the way We’re looking for a rough carpenter who’s ready to tackle anything that comes their way (with a smile and a well-worn toolbelt, of course).
What You'll Be Doing:
*
Framing: You’ll be the backbone of our projects, turning blueprints into sturdy walls and structures.
*
Roofing & Siding: From top to bottom, you’ll help us weather any storm—literally.
*
Window & Door Installation: Bring some light into our clients' lives by making those openings perfect.
*
Drywall/Sheetrock: Taping, mudding, and smoothing—your walls will always look sharp.
*
Painting: Adding the final touch to make everything look polished and put together.
*
Demolition: Yes, we like to tear things down before we build them back up (it’s therapeutic, trust us).
*
Site Clean-Up & Organization: A clean site is a safe site—and we appreciate a tidy workspace.
*
Material Handling: Carrying, loading, and unloading materials (it’s a workout, but we know you’re up for it).
*
Other Duties: Like any good carpenter, you’ll take on whatever comes your way, changing tasks day by day.
Requirements:
*
A solid knowledge of construction and carpentry (you know your way around a saw, hammer, and drill).
*
Must be able to read a tape measure—accuracy is key.
*
Physical fitness is a must: You’ll be bending, twisting, lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, working from ladders, and walking/standing for long periods.
*
Willingness to work outside in all weather—rain or shine, we get the job done!
Tools You’ll Need:
*
Hammer, tape measure, pencil, speed square, pry bar, and a tool pouch/belt (because what’s a carpenter without their trusty tools).
Why You’ll Love This Job:
*
Competitive pay and a great team environment.
*
A chance to flex all your carpentry muscles and grow your skills.
*
The satisfaction of building something solid and enduring.
*
Every day is a little different, so you’ll never be bored.
Ready to join the team Bring your expertise, your hard work, and your tools, and build something incredible together!
