This position will provide administrative support to MaineDOT's Office of Creative Services as well as backup and support in the Reprographics room - MaineDOT's full-service, in-house print shop.
This role involves performing complex and varied office support tasks, often requiring established skill sets which include a solid knowledge of modern office practices and office equipment necessary to perform divergent clerical functions. Responsibilities require independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. Tasks include processing bills, managing procurement card payments, and ordering supplies. Print shop tasks will involve learning the machinery as well as how to set up and process print and binding jobs. Experience with design and printing software is preferred. This position may from time to time assist with front office coverage.
This position may be eligible for two days of telework per week after six months of probation is complete and based on operational needs.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience :
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of : Office Assistant I , Office Assistant II , and Office Associate I .
