Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our growing personal injury law firm. This position involves requesting, maintaining and organizing client medical records/documentation. You will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys and clients while developing your skills in a professional environment dedicated to protecting the rights of injured victims. Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain necessary client medical documentation for case preparation/settlement
- Track and manage requests for medical records via email, fax, web portals, etc.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrators to ensure accurate and timely release of medical records/billing documents.
- Organize, file, and maintain medical records via our third-party management software Filevine
- Assist with additional administrative duties as needed from attorneys and support staff
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations regarding medical information.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Outlook.
- Experience in providing administrative support is a plus.
Salary : $20 - $22
