Key Responsibilities
- **Content Development:** Create, edit, and manage high-quality technical documents, including but not limited to specifications, reports, proposals, and instructional materials that support acquisition initiatives.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, program managers, and procurement specialists, to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- **Standards Compliance:** Ensure all content adheres to DoD standards and guidelines, including compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in technical writing.
- **Project Management:** Lead content-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- **Training and Support:** Provide training and support to team members on documentation best practices and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in content management.
- **Content Strategy:** Develop and implement strategies for effective content management and dissemination, including the use of digital platforms and content management systems.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and refine content based on user needs and evolving requirements.
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Communication, English, Engineering, or related discipline). A master's degree is preferred.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing or content management, preferably within the defense or government sector.
- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes, systems engineering, and related regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
- **Skills:**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in content management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and technical writing tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must have an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
