Description
Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL Trash Truck Driver to operate a front-loader trash truck and occasionally a dump truck for hauling snow. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class B CDL with an air brakes endorsement and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties :
Driving and Equipment Operation :
Safely operate a front-loader trash truck to collect and transport waste.
Drive a dump truck to haul snow as needed during the winter season.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting equipment issues.
Safety and Compliance :
Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Ensure safe operation in all weather conditions, including snow and ice.
Use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Customer Service and Teamwork :
Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors regarding route progress or challenges.
Assist team members with tasks as needed to complete daily routes or snow removal operations.
Qualifications

Employee must be at least 18 years of age and meet all applicable state-mandated labor laws.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
Work Environment :
Exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme weather conditions such as cold temperatures, snow, and ice.
Workdays may begin early in the morning, and overtime may be required during peak seasons.
