What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Assistant position at Mainspring Recovery?
Job Summary:
The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting with kitchen inventory, training clinical aides to serve meals, cleaning and sanitizing work and dining areas.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area in accordance with industry best practices, including dishwashing and sanitizing equipment
- Assisting with inventory control, including receiving and stocking food supplies as needed
- Ensuring food and beverage areas are fully stocked, maintained at the correct temperatures and well-organized
- Ensuring temperature logs are accurately and consistently maintained
- Confirming that all applicable staff are adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assisting with the setup and cleanup of dining areas
- Providing excellent customer service, addressing or escalating any issues or complaints promptly.
- Training clinical aides to serve meals
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
- High School diploma or GED
- ServSafe certification or comparable accredited certification
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a kitchen setting healthcare setting preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Ability to lift to fifty pounds

Job Type: Full-time, non-direct care position, 40 hours per week, shift work 10:00am-6:30pm Monday-Friday, some holidays.
