What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Planner position at Mainstream Engineering?
Position Summary
- Responsible for receiving and distributing incoming material deliveries and packages.
- Responsible for counting and accurately recording raw material items received as compared to the purchase order and follow-up with Purchasing on discrepancies.
- Assist in unloading containers/trucks, as needed. Responsible for participating in physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits/reconciliations.
- Completes any required paperwork, forms, logbooks as part of inventory/receiving process.
- Responsible for tracking inventory on the Production floor as it moves from raw material to finished goods, noting discrepancies, schedule changes and outliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and product movement between warehouses, maintaining accurate records of inventory arrivals/departures from warehouses.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- US citizen or US person status required due to ITAR restrictions
- 2 years of Inventory experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs. regularly
- Solid written and verbal (English) communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory, shipping, receiving and logistics concepts, practices and procedures
- Solid organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills are required
- Working knowledge of SAGE 100 ERP is preferred
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
