About the Role:
The role of Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for documenting and tracking our company vehicles, utilizing GPS monitoring systems, and ensuring seamless coordination with the Outside Plant (OSP) Fleet Mechanics. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in conducting fleet-related safety training and updating staff on standard fleet changes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all fleet vehicles, including registration, insurance, maintenance logs, and other pertinent documents.
- Coordinate and track DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance for all fleet vehicles, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations and maintaining up-to-date records of inspections, permits, and certifications.
- Track vehicle usage, mileage, and fuel consumption to ensure optimal fleet performance.
- Monitor fleet inventory and ensure timely renewal of vehicle registrations and inspections.
- Utilize the GPS monitoring system to track the location, usage, and status of fleet vehicles.
- Analyze GPS data to identify and report on trends, such as route efficiency and vehicle utilization.
- Provide regular reports on fleet performance and any anomalies detected via the GPS system.
- Coordinate with OSP Fleet Mechanics to schedule and document routine maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are logged accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in troubleshooting fleet-related issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Conduct fleet-related safety training sessions for drivers and other relevant personnel.
- Develop and deliver training programs on standard fleet changes, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding fleet operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support for fleet-related projects and initiatives.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support to drivers and other stakeholders regarding fleet operations.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent education, required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related administrative role is a plus.
- Proficiency in using GPS monitoring systems and fleet management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and present information clearly and effectively.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
