Main Street Homes is a Custom Home Building company that builds one of a kind custom homes tailor fit to our clients wants, needs and lifestyle. Our homes typically range in price from $1,000,000 - $4,000,000, no two homes are the same. We are seeking a highly experienced Purchasing & Estimating Manager with over 10 years of experience in custom home building. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a construction related field, have strong analytical and mathamatical skills with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with the team, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers and clients. This role involves overseeing the preparation of cost estimates for various types of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and complience with contract specifications and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all purchasing and estimating activities to create detailed job budgets based on drawings and specifications.
- Write all specifications as directed by owner, architect and staff designer for purposes of bidding and contracting with trades, suppliers and homeowner.
- Negotiate and award all trade contractor agreements.
- Manage job budgets, job costing and invoice approvals.
- Price and process all change orders as requested by staff designer.
- Sign all Trade Contractor Agreements.
- Create Sworn Statements.
- Manage Project Management software (Builder Trend).
- Work closely with staff designer and project manager.
Qualifications
- 10 years Purchasing & Estimating experience in custom residential.
- Bachelors degree in construction related field.
