Majestic Palliative Care is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide palliative care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing compassionate care to those facing life-challenging illnesses and will be
comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
-Provide comprehensive care to patients in palliative medicine settings, including the home, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities.
-Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
-Provide patient education and counseling on care decisions.
-Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
-Coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
-Maintain accurate patient records.
-Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
-Provide emotional support to patients and families.
Education and Experience
-Master's degree with a minimum of one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience (required) experience with performing Annual Wellness Exams, and a minimum of one (1) year of hospice or palliative care
experience (preferred).
-Must be board-certified and hold a DEA license.
-State certification as a Family/ Adult/Geriatric nurse practitioner
-Current CPR certification
-Experience in geriatrics and skilled nursing facilities preferred.
-Certification in a specialist area preferred; (e.g. Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN), or Geriatrics)
-Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, mathematical skills; and nursing skills per competency checklist.
-Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment.
-Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and/or crouching.
-Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.

-Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and has initiative and excitement to take on unfamiliar tasks.
-Advanced knowledge of word processing, graphic presentation, and computer software related to specific tasks.
-Demonstrated excellent computer and word processing skills with special emphasis on calendaring, presentation, and spreadsheet capabilities.
-Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and operations
-Excellent composition, grammar, and business language skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, patients, and family members.
-Creative, flexible, well-organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented
-Excellent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
-Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency.
-Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others
-Ability to work across locations and time zones.
Licenses/Certifications
-Must be board-certified and have a DEA License

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem, Permanent
Pay: $145,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
