Floor Technician / Custodian

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vct in commercial settings. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all building occupants. The Floor Technician will utilize specialized equipment and techniques to perform floor care tasks effectively.

Duties

• Perform routine floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate methods and equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene.
• Buff and polish hard surface floors to enhance their appearance and longevity.
• Execute deep cleaning procedures as required, including stripping and waxing floors.
• Monitor the condition of flooring materials and report any damages or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with the custodial team to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Skills

• Proficient in floor care techniques, including buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental services practices related to floor maintenance.
• Familiarity with carpet cleaning methods and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
