Event Manager

Major Food Group is seeking a passionate and motivated Manager to join our Northeast Events team, specializing in private events and group dining at ZZ’s Club NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond to incoming inquiries for private events and group dining at Major Food Group’s properties.
• Consistently provide high touch, white glove service to ZZ’s Club members and Major Food Group’s VIP clientele.
• Responsible for maintenance and development of the corporate and social events markets.
• Work on the Major Food Events management team to maximize event revenue and streamline logistics for a seamless guest experience.
• Collaborate with the Club's Head of Membership to develop Member relationships and drive event business
• Support the Club’s Head of Programming in coordinating and executing member programming events
• Liaise with clients throughout the booking and planning process by negotiating pricing and estimates, generating contracts, securing payment details, etc.
• Follow department and company procedures to ensure confirmed events are communicated to appropriate internal & external teams.
• Work with clients for confirmed events on their customized menu options, beverage details, floor plans, room set up notes, run of show and all specifics pertaining to their event.
• Maintain and constantly update event information in our catering platform to generate accurate BEO's.
• Participate in weekly meetings with chefs and managers to communicate all catering details for events.
• Communicate in an organized and timely manner all of the logistics and specifics of the party to on-site management and provide on-site support for events where necessary to ensure proper execution of all event details.
• Problem solve, and creatively drive sales goals.
• Generate new business leads through proactive outreach to new and existing clients.
• Provide assistance with special projects as assigned adhering to deadlines.
• Act as an ambassador to Major Food Group Culture and be a strong advocate for ZZ’s Club brand and membership
• Develop a strong understanding of ZZ’s Club special offerings to facilitate event sales for high-touch, Culinary Concierge Events
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a strong desire to “Be the Best.”
• Must have the ability to offer high-touch service to ZZs Club's top clientele, catering to their needs and requests in a professional and bespoke manner
• Must have a successful sales track record in direct sales and an ability to develop targeted prospect databases.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-6 years of event sales, event coordination, department administrative assistance and/or client services.
• Background in the high end hospitality sector is preferred.
• An enthusiastic, team oriented & positive attitude are essential.
• Must have a strong work ethic and excellent written and oral communication skills to be able to interact with high profile and high net worth clients.
• Needs to be able to multitask, work well under pressure, and succeed in a face paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Tripleseat and AllSeated is preferred but not required.
  
  

Compensation: $64,350 annually plus commissions.
