Major Food Group is hiring a passionate Maitre D to join our team at CARBONE and CARBONE VINO in the Dallas Design District!
As one of the first points of contact with guests, the ideal candidates must exhibit enthusiasm, desire and all round passion for hospitality excellence.
CARBONE is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious.
CARBONE VINO, located just across the courtyard is a new concept from Major Food Group celebrating timeless artisanship and the most coveted wines of Italy. Complete with a thousand bottle wine list and 30 wines by the quartino. The menu features an extensive selection of handmade pastas, Sicilian pizzas, fresh gelato, and signature entrées like spicy rigatoni and fried veal chop prepared “your way”.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee dining room operation in a restaurant
- Customer relations and ensuring guests receive impeccable service at all times
- Greet customers and guide them to their tables
- Answer customer questions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- Help flow of traffic in and out of the restaurant.
- Engage guests, act as an ambassador of the restaurant in both personality and knowledge.
- Resolve customer complaints or disputes
- Manage waitstaff to ensure efficient and excellent service throughout a given seating
- 3-4 years of restaurant experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants
- At least 2 years experience leading a front door team
- Previous Maitre D experience desired
- Full availability required for this role
