Counter Person

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth operation at the counter. Your ability to engage with customers, handle transactions efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized workspace will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
• Operate the Aloha POS system for processing transactions.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance customer experience through upselling.
• Handle food preparation and ensure adherence to food handling safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, including bussing tables as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as necessary.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food handling practices.
• Proficient in retail math for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or retail setting is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
