What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slitter Set-Up Operator position at Major Metals Company?
Description
- Acquire proper paperwork and verify measuring devices prior to start of shift.
- Use proper spacers in set up.
- Contact lead or supervisor with equipment condition.
- Responsible for housekeeping of set-up, staging and clearance areas.
- Inspect and maintain knife conditions.
- Assist on banding line as time allows.
- Cut bands from coils on cart when time permits.
Requirements
- Responsible for the safe and correct operation of equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be willing to certify as a Major Metals Company Forklift Operator.
- Required to cross-train as a Slitter Operator and a Recoiler Technician.
- Current Schedule is 6 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Salary : $16 - $18
