Position Overview:
The Office Coordinator will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice by handling administrative tasks, coordinating appointments, supporting the dental team, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patients and their families. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Scheduling & Coordination:
Manage and optimize the appointment schedule for maximum efficiency and minimal patient wait times.:
Greet patients and families, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.:
Oversee patient check-in and check-out processes.:
Administrative Duties:
Handle patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.:
Verify insurance eligibility and coordinate claims processing.:
Conduct end-of-day reconciliation and maintain financial records.:
Order and manage office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized work environment.:
Team Support:
Prepare daily schedules for the dental team and ensure the office is ready for patient care.:
Organize team meetings and facilitate effective internal communication.:
Customer Service:
Address patient inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email with professionalism and empathy.:
Assist patients and families with billing and insurance questions.:
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is a plus.:
Previous experience in a dental or medical office, preferably in a coordination or administrative role.:
Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, EagleSoft) and insurance processes is preferred.:
