SUMMARY
The Events & Catering Manager is responsible for transforming sold events into meticulously planned and executed experiences that embody the highest level of hospitality. This role works directly with clients to organize, design, and coordinate every aspect of their event, ensuring all details are flawlessly executed from initial consultation through final preparations. Acting as the key liaison between clients, internal teams, and vendors, this position ensures seamless communication and precise coordination to bring each event to life. The Events & Catering Manager also collaborates closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure a smooth transition from planning to execution once guests arrive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with clients to plan and organize all aspects of their events, from initial consultation to finalizing details.
- Develop customized event plans, ensuring all client needs and expectations are met.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including catering, beverage service, venue setup, décor, and special requests.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and execution.
- Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to provide all necessary details for seamless on-site execution.
- Conduct site visits, menu tastings, and pre-event meetings with clients as needed.
- Oversee catering operations, ensuring that food and beverage services align with event requirements.
- Manage event budgets and pricing strategies while maintaining profitability and service excellence.
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure menu selections align with client preferences and event logistics.
- Source and coordinate with vendors, including entertainment, décor, rentals, and floral services.
- Maintain meticulous records of event details, contracts, and client communications.
- Address last-minute changes or challenges with professionalism and efficiency.
- Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and encourage repeat business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of three (3) years of event planning and catering management experience, preferably in hospitality, luxury, or resort settings.
- Strong background in catering logistics, menu planning, and food & beverage operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-focused approach.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience collaborating across departments.
- Knowledge of vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in event planning software, catering management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience working with high-end clientele and luxury events is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
