From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we have evolved to be one of the world’s leading children’s charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and nearly 400 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida granted 425 wishes last year.

Position Summary: Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida is seeking a passionate, results-driven individual with at least one year of experience in nonprofit, sales, or marketing environments. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, creative, and highly motivated, with a personable, energetic approach and a strong "go-getter" attitude. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to meeting and exceeding fundraising goals to help support our mission.

This position is responsible for developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that drive retention, revenue growth, and overall engagement with key stakeholders. The individual will collaborate with both internal and external teams to deliver impactful campaigns, leveraging a variety of digital channels and community initiatives to support and expand the organization’s mission.

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Provide marketing support and collaborate with development teams to amplify both internal and external revenue generating events.
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to support solicitation efforts, with a focus on increasing donor retention and growing revenue streams.
  • Lead all aspects of World Wish Month activations to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversee the Wishful Giving end-of-year campaign, ensuring effective execution and optimization.
  • Develop and optimize retargeting strategies to convert monthly donors and enhance online giving.
  • Create region-specific growth strategies to meet local chapter objectives.
  • Plan and scale Wish-A-Thon, transforming it into a chapter-wide campaign.
  • Work with Make-A-Wish America on national campaigns to ensure local chapter alignment and impact.
  • Support wish referrals and other mission delivery needs with marketing campaigns.
  • Proactively support the strategy, content creation and execution for community based and campaign specific social content.

Media Relations & Storytelling

  • Draft compelling press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials for regional and chapter-wide campaigns.
  • Identify mission-driven storytelling opportunities to increase media coverage and community engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with local media to elevate campaign strategies at the chapter and regional levels.
  • Steward current media partnerships while actively seeking new opportunities with micro-influencers and news outlets.
  • Manage all partnerships in Salesforce.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Identify and secure in-kind marketing partnerships for both print and digital advertising.
  • Steward chapter-wide cause marketing partners and lead out on correlating initiatives.
  • Support in the planning, promotion and execution of large community wish storytelling moments.
  • Performance & Trend Analysis
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to analyze campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement A/B testing where appropriate.
  • Conduct competitor audits and track industry trends to inform future campaign strategies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Salesforce portfolio management.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, campaign strategy, and community engagement.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in press relations and media outreach.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
  • Creative, data-driven, and results-oriented, with a passion for nonprofit mission-driven work.

Working Conditions

This hybrid position is in Maitland, FL and requires the individual to work in an office environment in a shared office space. Incumbent must have the ability and willingness to travel within our 45-county territory and work some nights/weekends.
