Description:
Our client, a leading merit shop electrical contractor with 45 years of industry experience, has grown into one of the largest in the region. Ranked #27 on the Top 50 Electrical Contractors Listing by Engineering News Record (October 2023) and #10 in the Southeast, they continue to expand. To support this growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical construction projects valued between $1M and $5M .
About the Role
The Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing all phases of electrical construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with a strong commitment to quality and safety. This role requires initiative, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical project execution, including take-offs, safety compliance, as-builts, coordination layouts, scheduling, documentation, labor management, and materials tracking/submittals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, suppliers, and field teams, attending job meetings and ensuring smooth project coordination.
- Lead and develop field staff, providing coaching and mentorship to grow talent within the team.
- Oversee project budgeting from inception to completion, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Electrical license and experience as a field electrician or foreman.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical project management.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with project management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
