The Bar Keeper is an essential part of Makers & Finders by crafting all beverage items to order while ensuring the highest level of hospitality through the steps of service. The role is crucial for the healthy flow of day-to-day operations and teamwork is required for a successful bar team. Understanding sanitation and proper crafting techniques are absolutely necessary to create the highest quality beverage while making sure our guests are safely consuming. The Bar Keep is required to invest the time necessary to produce exceptional results.
This position is part time position and will also have a rotating irregular schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and frequently a 2-3-day work week for part-timers (depending on availability and business need).
Must have valid Health & Tam
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
Must be able to lift 25 pounds

Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous barista experience is preferred.
- Coffee Knowledge: A love for coffee and a good understanding of different coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso-based drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos is important.
- Espresso Machine Skills: Being able to calibrate and operate espresso machines.
- Teamwork: We’re all about working together! A friendly attitude and the ability to collaborate with your team to keep things running smoothly is essential.
- Customer Service: Passion for creating a positive, friendly experience for every guest.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Keeping the coffee station & Bar, equipment, and seating areas clean, organized, and sanitized is a must to ensure our guests have the best experience.
- Latte Art (Optional): If you can make beautiful latte art, that’s a huge bonus!
- Attention to Detail: A great Bar Keep knows that small details matter! We’re looking for someone who takes pride in crafting drinks exactly how our guests like them, ensuring the highest quality every time.
- Cash Handling: You’ll be handling cash and using a POS system, so accuracy in processing orders and giving correct change is important.
- Health Code: Possesses a strong understanding of health codes and the critical importance of adhering to safe food handling practices.
- Menu Knowledge: Must possess excellent menu knowledge and be skilled in upselling items, while carefully considering and addressing customer allergies.
- Alcohol: Candidate should possess a basic understanding of alcohol and spirits, along with basic knowledge of cocktail preparation. Additionally, they must exercise caution when serving guests to ensure responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving.
- Self Starter: Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently.
