We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Luxury & Exotic Automotive Sales Manager to lead our sales team and oversee the growth of our high-end vehicle sales department. Position Overview:
The Luxury & Exotic Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales department, which specializes in high-end luxury and exotic vehicles. The manager will lead the sales team, develop sales strategies, manage inventory, and ensure that all customer interactions reflect the dealership’s high standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid understanding of the luxury automotive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear sales goals, providing regular coaching, and ensuring the team is consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring the sales team maintains the highest levels of professionalism, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings to review performance, discuss new strategies, and ensure alignment with dealership goals.
- Provide guidance and training on sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and closing deals.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs (e.g., sales volume, closing rates, customer satisfaction) and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Sales Strategy & Performance:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase vehicle sales and revenue, including promotions, events, and special offers tailored to luxury car buyers.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust pricing, inventory, and sales strategies accordingly.
- Ensure that the sales team effectively manages leads, follows up on inquiries, and maximizes sales opportunities.
- Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, ensuring overall department profitability.
Customer Relations & Retention:
- Provide exceptional service to clients, handling high-net-worth individuals with the utmost professionalism and care.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and cultivate new client relationships.
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects the dealership’s commitment to luxury and excellence, offering personalized attention to meet clients’ needs.
Inventory & Vehicle Management:
- Oversee the acquisition of inventory through trade-ins, consignment, and wholesale channels. Ensure that the dealership’s inventory meets the demand for luxury and exotic vehicles.
- Work closely with the service and reconditioning teams to ensure vehicles are market-ready and displayed at optimal levels.
- Track inventory performance, adjusting sales strategies to optimize vehicle turnover and profitability.
- Keep detailed records of inventory transactions, vehicle appraisals, and sales figures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Financial Oversight & Budgeting:
- Set and manage the department’s budget, ensuring costs are controlled while achieving sales growth and profitability.
- Implement pricing strategies that align with market trends while maximizing revenue.
- Regularly review departmental financials, including sales performance, gross profit, and expenses, to ensure financial goals are met.
Marketing & Business Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that highlight the dealership’s unique offerings and attract new clients.
- Represent the dealership at industry events, networking opportunities, and client functions to increase brand visibility and attract high-end clientele.
- Utilize digital marketing channels, such as social media and online listings, to drive interest in available inventory.
Reporting & Administrative Duties:
- Provide detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and inventory status to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and lead generation.
- Ensure that all sales paperwork is completed in a timely and compliant manner.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in an automotive sales management role, specifically focused on luxury or exotic vehicle brands (e.g., Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls-Royce).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-end sales environment.
- Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve sales goals while maintaining a focus on high-quality customer service.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with automotive CRM software and sales platforms, such as IDMS, Provision, Manheim, ACV, Central Dispatch, CUDL, KSL, CarGurus, Cars, and Carfax.
- Strong understanding of vehicle values, market trends, and pricing strategies for luxury and exotic vehicles.
Leadership & Communication Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience driving results in a high-performance sales environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and management.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
