MalaceHR has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in Middle River, MD. The Technician will report daily to the Site Lead and support him/her to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment, well-kept grounds. Safety is a primary concern and the highest priority with all work activities.
Primary responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the maintenance of the client grounds. The following duties and responsibilities may apply:
- mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns.
- weeding and mulching landscape beds.
- trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs and removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees.
- planting shrubs, flowers and trees and watering gardens, lawns and landscapes.
- monitoring and maintaining plant health.
Responsible for assisting with snow removal which may include shoveling, spreading salt and maintaining clean entryway areas. The technician must be available for off-hour calls and available to respond to the facility to provide service.
Will assist the fleet/vehicle technician in performing duties in regards to the maintenance of the fleet equipment/vehicles. Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose and correct deficiencies. Must have the ability to support other tradesmen in performing assigned tasks.
Additional skills in carpentry, light plumbing, painting, and grounds maintenance are a plus.
Computer aptitude is necessary to update files in the CMMS and order parts and/or equipment online.
Must be able to pass a background, drug test.
Must have a vaild driver's license and High Scool Diploma
