What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator position at Malama Pono Autism Center?
Malama Pono Autism Center specializes in the supporting children and families impacted by autism. The organization is seeking an individual to support the company in the role of Intake Coordinator. This position oversees supporting and onboarding new families into care and services. As part of this role the Intake Coordinator will also help coordinate staff recruitment and assignments for new families.
Specific job functions include:
- Receiving initial communications from families, answering questions, and providing information about services
- Scheduling and providing tours of the facility
- Gather and process intake paperwork
- Manage waitlist of interested families
- Coordinate with other departments to onboard clients into services
- Assist in recruiting and screening appropriate staff members for assignment to new clients
- Collect and manage data spreadsheets on client intake and waitlist processing
Qualifications:
- Interactions with peers and coworkers that demonstrates a high level of interpersonal-skills
- Organized and efficient approach to their work that shows an attention to detail and strong time-management.
- Professionalism that establishes they are very capable of interacting within all levels of the organization as well as representing MPAC well with external community partners.
- Able to pass background screening

- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Google Suite (e.g., Docs, Sheets, etc.
This position is intended to be fulltime, however has some flexibility around hours and schedule. This position requires general availability Monday-Friday during standard business hours.
