What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Intern position at Malco Products, Inc.?
Reports to: Controller
Summary:
The primary focus of this position is account payable, general ledger, cost accounting practices/procedures, and daily accounting functions. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting in a real-world business environment.
Responsibilities: Specific duties are intended to describe activities that support the summary above. The list is not all inclusive – other duties may be required to cover the breadth and depth of the position.
- Support Accounting team in daily tasks.
- Entering invoices into ERP system, which includes but not limited to uploading support documents.
- Assist with streamlining current AP procedures.
- Assist with developing reconciliation process.
- Assist in documentation of processes.
- Assist with cost accounting functions to include material maintenance and creating new parts in ERP system.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Creative thinking and eagerness to learn.
Salary : $16 - $18
