ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our finance team to support various accounting functions and gain valuable insights into the world of financial management within the packaging and containers sector. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their careers in accounting while being part of a friendly and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Assist with capital expenditure project tracking and analysis.
- Assist with reconciling bank accounts and managing cash flow.
- Help to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Participate in month-end and fiscal year-end closing activities.
- Assist with tax form preparation and filing.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and tasks as needed, including but not limited to our value creation plans and development of critical policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with Great Plains or Sage Fixed Assets is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
