Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle cash transactions, assist with product inquiries, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the grocery store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Process sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist customers with product demonstrations and inquiries about merchandise.
• Promote store promotions and upsell products when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all store policies regarding cash handling and customer service.
• Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Proficient in cash handling and operating cash registers.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Ability to demonstrate products and explain features to customers effectively.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
