Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Garage Shop Helper to support our landscaping company's fleet and shop operations. This role involves assisting with basic vehicle maintenance and providing driving support for the shop. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of related experience and a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid top-offs, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and report findings to the Shop Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, tools, and equipment.
- Drive company vehicles to deliver parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Assist in transporting vehicles to and from job sites, vendors, and repair facilities.
- Support inventory management by tracking and restocking shop supplies.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager or Fleet Manager.
Qualifications Required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in basic vehicle maintenance, automotive service, or a related role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
