What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boxing Gym Operations Assistant position at Maleek Jackson Boxing?
Maleek Jackson Boxing offers intense, full-body workouts for beginners and pros, combining rigorous training with a vast boxing education. Diverse clients, including adults and children, advance their fitness and master the art of boxing in our supportive, high-energy environment. We also collaborate with the Azzim Dukes Initiative, a nonprofit, to expand opportunities for youth and address gun violence in Philadelphia.
We seek an operations assistant for the following responsibilities at our Northern Liberties location:
- Provide the first positive impression of the Maleek Jackson Boxing facility;
- Interact with clients in-person and electronically to provide information about our memberships and services;
- Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure positive client experiences and
- Complete membership forms, prepare change of address records, and issue invoices using gym management software.
This is a part-time role (up to 35 hours/week) with the potential for more and/or different shifts during the next quarter. It may be split between two individuals. Shifts currently include:
- 7 am - 10 am Monday through Friday
- 4 pm - 7 pm Monday through Friday
- 9 am- 12 pm Saturdays

- Can stand and/or walk for an entire shift; and
- Are ages 18 or older.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
