What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Mallory Alexander International Logistics?
This position can be entry-level as we are willing to train, so recent and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply as well as individuals with accounts payable experience.
Responsibilities
- Match and compare freight invoices to purchase orders, contracts and receiving documents to process payments via wire, check, ACH, DDR and credit card
- Interface with vendors and internal employees to research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain vendor master records and transactions in CargoWise to ensure accurate and updated data
- Create and maintain spreadsheets of all accounts payable for monthly audit as well as projecting future payments week to week
- Serve as liaison between operations and vendors’ accounts receivable staff
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
- Ability to adapt to and understand new concepts quickly
- Strong reading and math skills with ability to spot issues, research, and solve problems
- Experience with BravoTran is a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Working Environment: The successful candidate should have the ability to work efficiently meeting strict deadlines in a professional team environment. Organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills are a must. Position requires excellent excel and customer service skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is fully onsite. Compensation is commensurate with overall qualifications and experience.
