Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Baristas will also be responsible for light kitchen duties and take-out food orders and will be trained on all services to proficiency.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks to customers.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and promote daily specials to enhance sales.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and seating.
- Assist with food preparation and adhere to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math skills.
- Proficiency in using Square or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
