About You:
You are a dynamic and experienced Land Surveying professional with 7 years of experience in land surveying who will oversee and lead our Geomatics Division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all land surveying operations, driving the growth and development of the division, and ensure the delivery of high-quality projects to clients. You will lead a team of project managers, surveyors, and technicians, oversee project planning and execution, and serve as the key liaison between the Division and key clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. DOT project experience is essential for this role, as the successful candidate will oversee a variety of transportation-related projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Geomatics Division, managing all aspects of operations including project management, staff supervision, and business development.
- Develop and execute strategies for growing the geomatics practice, expanding service offerings, and cultivating client relationships.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of survey crews and field operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Oversee and review survey data, reports, and deliverables, ensuring the accuracy and quality of final products.
- Provide technical leadership in the use of modern surveying tools and technologies, including terrestrial LiDAR, GPS, and traditional surveying methods.
- Collaborate closely with the BIM, geospatial, and architectural teams to integrate surveying data into 3D models and other digital deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and company policies.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and innovation.
- Lead the delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on meeting DOT, standards and requirements.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in land surveying.
- Experience in managing a team, including field and office personnel.
- Expertise in both traditional and advanced survey methodologies, including the use of LiDAR, GPS, and total stations.
- Experience with SUE projects, geophysical technology, standards, and field practices.
- Extensive experience with DOT projects and familiarity with DOT standards and protocols.
- Proficient in survey-related software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $120,000- $165,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, the scope and complexity of role responsibilities.
